Zella Helton was fishing with guide Troy Perez last February 18, when she caught this 42-pound, 5-ounce black drum near Port Canaveral, Florida. If approved by the IGFA, the fish will become the 20-pound tippet world record for the species.

She battled the drum for almost an hour. After weighing and documenting the fish, it was released alive.
